After het PhD in 2003 on voiding habits in healthy schoolchildren, Els Bakker continued working at the University Parnasse-Isei and at Children's Hospital of Antwerp. She has given more then 200 lectures all over the world, and published several papers on the subject. But most of all, she has a big clinical experience in treating children dealing with incontinence. She is now in charge of the Continuous Learning ans Research department at her University
