Pieter

Pieter Westerhuis qualified as a physical therapist in the Netherlands in 1981 after which he started to work in Switzerland. There he continued his postgraduate education in doing courses with Maitland, but also in other concepts like e.g. McKenzie, McConnell and Mulligan. He became a Maitland Instructor in 1988. Since then he has been working in a private clinic and teaching courses mainly in Europe. He sees himself primarily as a clinician and likes to treat patients at his courses. He has published numerous articles and contributed chapters to several books. He has also produced DVDs on examination and treatment techniques coming from a Maitland background. He is married and has 4 wonderful daugthers.
